I've always loved words. Words can make you laugh, words can make you cry, words can make you think deeply.
Some people are so adept at stringing them together that we never forget them.
I've been collecting quotes for many years and I'd like to share some of my favorites with you.

      —Edwin H. Land

Where the way is hardest, there go thou:  follow your own path and let people talk.

Graduation Quotes

Congratulations! Today is your day.
You’re off to Great Places! You’re off and away!
You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You’re on your own.
And you know what you know. You are the guy who’ll decide where to go.
—Dr. Seuss, "Oh, the Places You'll Go!"

Graduation is only a concept. In real life every day you graduate. Graduation is a process that goes
on until the last day of your life. If you can grasp that, you'll make a difference.

Quotes can be a wonderful addition to your scrapbook layouts. They can be typed as plain text, in the font of your choice, or you can "fancy them up" by turning them into word art.

Here are a some examples:

wise quote

from the "Over the Hill Gang" collection

If you think you can't, you're right!

Some people like their word art plain, while I tend to add not only color, but graphics. This makes the word art more like a page element and that seems to work for me. Whether you like it plain or fancy, word art can add a little punch to your scrapbook layouts. There is plenty of it available for free or for sale on the web, but with a little imagination it is very easy to make your own word art that is tailored to fit your layout perfectly.

Thank heaven for little girls

from "Thank Heaven for Little Girls" collection

Nature is the art of God

Feel free to use any of these quotes in your own layouts,
or better yet, why not exercise your imagination and try making some word art of your own.
